Job or Vacancy Description:
The Ghani Khan Choudhury Institute of Engineering & Technology, Malda is an autonomous society under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, located at Malda, West Bengal.  Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for the following Faculty and Non-Faculty positions :

General Instructions:
1. Application may be sent in the standard application format with name, age, address, qualification, professional experience etc. accompanied by attested copies of certificates and application fee of Rs. 300/- (Rs. 100/- for SC/ST) through demand draft in favour of “Accounts Officer, GKCIET, Malda” payable at “Malda”. For the post of Professor, candidates should furnish Academic Performance Indicators (APIs) score as per AICTE format.
 
2. Candidates will be shortlisted as per short listing criteria. Merely fulfilling minimum qualifications may not automatically entail a candidate to be called for the interview. Reservation policy of Govt. of India will be followed. The SC/ST/OBC certificate in the prescribed form only issued by the competent authority declared by Govt. of India will be accepted as proof in support of claims. The posts reserved for PH shall be filled as per Govt. of India norms.
3. The Ghani Khan Choudhury Institute of Engineering & Technology, Malda is an autonomous society under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, located at Malda, West Bengal engaged in development of Technical manpower for the region and all India. It follows unique modular pattern of technical education with multi entry and exit system in its Certificate, Diploma, and Degree module.
4. Institute emphasizes imparting skill in technical education and has progressed to its Diploma module after successful certificate programmes following SLIET, Longowal, Punjab pattern in the disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical and Food Processing and Technology. It has also started its Non-formal education at its Kaliachak campus, Malda. Institutes regular campus is being setup at Narayanpur about 7KM from Malda Town located near NH-34.
5. Evidence of leadership in planning / organization of professional activities, and of potential to undertake project of building a unique Central Govt. Institute with certificate, diploma and degree level courses and short training programme leading to employment and entrepreneurship/ lead sponsored project R & D, consultancy and related activities.Experience of developing new Institute / Academic Establishment and recognition for work in / outside Country. R & D projects management, guidance of research (project work; PG dissertations)
6. And should have been publications as project reports, research papers/ books / technical reports or have filed / obtained patents.Experience in vocational education & training and in implementation of state/central Govt. project.May have cleared GATE on his/her career.
7. Scales of Pay : Rs. 37400 – Rs. 67000 (Pay Band-4) with academic grade pay Rs. 10000 as per AICTE norms. Additional allowances are applicable as per AICTE norms. All allowances are as per Central Govt. Rules and regulations. Deputation/ Lien from Central / State Govt. may be allowed for an initial period of two years and may be extended as per norms of Central Govt. and the position is likely to be permanent subject to satisfactory performance appraisal by the Chairman of the BoG, GKCIET.
